First, keep good notes – this is especially important so that others will have confidence in your work later. For example, as you peruse the Town meeting records, instead of just writing down the Meeting date where you find the old road action, write down all town meeting dates. And then write down “no road actions”. This extra step indicates that you have been thorough. There are two components to Town Meeting, the Warrant which lists all the items to vote on, and the actual Meeting minutes.  You’ll need to look at both.
